Before we dive into the Imola Track Guide in F1 24, here’s a brief historical note.

Imola Track Guide in F1 24

In the 1960s, Enzo Ferrari, known as "Il Drake," described this circuit as the most intriguing in Italy due to its unique challenges.

The Imola circuit, located near the Santerno River, was inaugurated in 1953 and still today remains a 4.909 km track with 19 corners.

Over the years, the layout hasn’t seen substantial changes, aside from the addition of a few chicanes.

Iconic corners like the Variante del Tamburello, Acque Minerali, and Rivazza are just some of the legendary challenges this circuit offers.

In addition to hosting Formula 1, Imola is also home to a 6-hour WEC race and numerous national championship events.

Now, let’s get started with the Imola Track Guide in F1 24.

Turn 2-3-4: Tamburello

The straight is very long and offers a great overtaking opportunity before reaching the crucial braking zone for Turn 1.

This year, you can attack the first left-hand kerb with a lot of speed: the more aggressively you hit it, the more speed you'll carry on exit.

Quarta, quinta, sesta marcia: siamo in piena accelerazione prima di arrivare alla Villeneuve.

Turn 5-6: Villeneuve

Fourth, fifth, sixth gear: we’re at full throttle before arriving at Villeneuve.

The line opens up significantly, carrying speed through in sixth and fifth gear.

The sequence takes you left, then right, cutting in sharply to maintain exit speed.

Turn 7: Tosa

Third gear at Tosa, then back on the gas early with a slight throttle control on exit, but with plenty of speed.

Turn 9: Piratella

Now we shift up to seventh gear on the climb.

Down to sixth for the corner entry, tackled at around 220 km/h.

Then it's on to the Acque Minerali.

Turn 11-12-13: Acque Minerali

The line opens up nicely: from seventh gear down to fourth, keeping a smooth, rounded line.

Accelerate early uphill before heading to Variante Alta.

Turn 14-15: Variante Alta (Gresini)

The chicane is taken in fourth, then third gear, getting back on the throttle early to carry as much speed as possible.

Turn 17-18: Rivazza

We arrive at the final two corners, very challenging, but this year they can be attacked a bit more.

Third or fourth gear for the first corner, letting the car flow smoothly.

Use fourth gear through the second corner, then open the DRS, staying tight on the racing line to gain as much as possible.

The lap concludes with a time of 1:12.983.
